Our Learning Target Busters and hard at work!
Students have leadership jobs in our classroom, and one of them is the "Learning Target Buster". Our Learning Target Buster leads the class so that everyone knows what we're learning (the learning target), why it's important, and how we know we got it (the success criteria). When students complete an "Exit Ticket" and post it on our "Show What You Know" board, our Learning Target Busters analyze the tickets to determine if they meet the success criteria! They've found that it's helpful to organize the Post-Its in "Correct" and "Needs Fixing" columns. Then they analyze further to determine if there are any error patterns and present their findings to the class! It's a great way for the students to monitor their progress and learn from each other! Our leadership jobs are rotated on a daily so everyone gets plenty of chances to be a Learning Target Buster!
